Probably late but hopefully this will help others with SB Live problems. When I made the move to Win7, I discovered I couldn't use the Creative software and the drivers. I did some searches for help with no luck. I did install a program KX Audio driver that was a free generic driver for the SB card. CT5803 or CT5003 would be your model number on this, but guess what, Creative said they could identify that model, so here is the driver. It is an audioPCI 128 if you need to know.

It shouldn’t be difficult to creative labs ct5803 a free download site but your AV can’t know what’s free and what’s not. I downloaded the driver again. I’ve never tried the Dell driver as the gateway file always worked for me. Disable any AV, if possible. So when you download and burn it again, copy it to the hard drive on the 98 PC and run it from there instead of directly from the cd.
